School Updates
December 19, 2025
Hello Harbor View Families,
This week marked our 67th day of learning, and we had a fantastic time celebrating! It was a wonderful opportunity for students and staff to reflect on all the knowledge and growth we've achieved so far this school year. Every day brings new learning experiences, and it's been amazing to see how much we've accomplished together.
In the spirit of caring for each other, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the families who donated extra tissues, wipes, and hand sanitizers. Your generosity helps us keep our classrooms well supplied and ready for learning, especially during this cold and flu season.
Next week may be short, but it’s packed with fun! On Monday, we’ll enjoy our “Long Winter’s Night” spirit day, where everyone can dress in their comfiest clothes. Then, on Tuesday, it’s time to “Dress to Impress” as we gear up for our “Rockin’ New Year’s Countdown” celebration. These spirit days are a perfect way to wrap up the year with joy and excitement before we head into the winter recess.
Our MSK & MBK Toy Drive was a huge success! Thanks to everyone who contributed! The toys are being delivered to The Spot Family Enrichment Center in collaboration with the Gerard Carter Stapleton Center. We’re so proud of their efforts to give back to the community!
Remember to mark your calendars for our PTA & Title I Meeting on Tuesday, January 6th at 7:00 PM via Zoom. It's a great opportunity to stay informed about school initiatives and share your thoughts. We encourage all families to join us and contribute to our vibrant school community.
Have a great weekend!
Quick Tips to Stay Healthy:
- Wash hands often with soap and water
- Eat balanced meals and stay hydrated
- Dress warmly when heading outdoors
- Get plenty of rest
We always appreciate donations of tissues, hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes for our classrooms and common spaces—thank you for your continued support!
Winter Spirit Day Activities:
We are excited to announce our upcoming Winter Spirit Week, a delightful opportunity to celebrate the season and spread some festive cheer! Below are the themes for each day, so you can help your child participate in the fun:
- Monday, December 22nd - Long Winter's Nap! We’re celebrating the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year! Ever wonder why winter days are so short and nights are so long? It’s all about Earth’s tilt and how sunlight reaches us.
- Tuesday, December 23rd - Rockin' New Year! Join the whole school as we count down together to the New Year. We’ll celebrate with excitement, laughter, and lots of joy as we welcome the amazing adventures that 2026 will bring!
